Confessions of a First Daughter
Author: Cassidy Calloway
Series: ---
Publisher: HarperCollins
How Received: ARC

Morgan is so over being first daughter.

Morgan Abbott has no social life and no privacy, and her one major talent is screwing things up. Unfortunately for Morgan, every mistake makes front page headlines—because her mom is the president of the United States. To top it all off, she's been assigned a brainiac secret service agent who's barely older than she is and won't let her out of his sight (never mind that he's kind of cute). Torture!

But when her mom has to slip away on secret business and needs a decoy to cover for her, Morgan is the only one who can help. With a bit of makeup, a little ingenuity, and a lot of family resemblance, Morgan soon has everyone calling her "Madam President." Can she pull it off? Or will she mess everything up . . . again?

Cassidy Calloway's Confessions of a First Daughter is one of those books that are good to have when you're waiting for something to happen. They're short, they're sweet, they're easy to read - but they're mainly mind candy. The most interesting character was Morgan's best friend, who we - sadly - do not see enough of.

Though all of the characters in Calloway's novel were fleshed out, they were all rather stereotypical. The plot line was predictable and the whole story rather... well, stereotypical.

However, as I did mention, it was mind candy. It was fun to read.

Rating: 5/10
Confessions of a First Daughter or First Daughter: Extreme American Makeover?: I like the characters and story in First Daughter a bit more.
