Orange Flange Vintage Postcards

It's a gosh darn fact that no single English word rhymes with orange.

The drab noun combo 'door hinge' might aid when writing a little ode to the orange. Lozenge, flange, Stonehedge and porridge are noted half rhymes to the elusive fruit.

Editor: What is a flange?

Marie: (in plumbing) a plate or flat ring bolted to the flange at the end of a length of pipe to close the end or to connect it with the flange of another such length... 'sigh' It's not very poetic.

I'll just have to stick with my favorite orange poem.

Wore orange brassieres.
