First, let's just address that the cover is actually relevant to the book. There's no girl who doesn't look like the main character; there's no photography of random things; there's no weird poses. It's a beautiful painting of a place that's actually in the book.
Secondly, just - it's just pretty. The shadow coming in and beginning to steal over the house; the kite flying away; the trees; the house; the simple font.
