Chicken barbecues are held in Heritage Park during the week of the festival, sponsored by the Rotary Club, American Legion, Frankenmuth Jaycees, and Chamber of Commerce. Last year more than 6,500 persons attended, many dressed in lederhosen and dirndl dresses. Food is served on unique log tables.
