It's no secret that, unlike the rest of the blogosphere, I didn't like Marissa Meyer's Cinder. But despite that, I can appreciate how pretty the covers of her books are.
I really love how Cinder shows that this isn't going to be the Cinderella story you know - the mechanical leg is just enough of a touch to show that - and the font choice is gorgeous. But what works best for both is the pop of red on each cover, one that stands out on the shelf amid the current blue-and-black trend that has yet to go away.
